first_imgIf proof were needed that Q Games is setting itself up to be the next PopCap, then look no further than the news PixelJunk Monsters is set to become a free-to-play browser game.Until now, owner Dylan Cuthbert has focused Q Games and PixelJunk titles as releases for PlayStation Network and PSP, only straying occasionally to Nintendo hardware for some other games. Q Games is updating it to make everything on-screen bigger and therefore more socially-friendly. The gameplay is also being tweaked so there are fewer enemies to deal with on each level, again a consequence of this being a social, free game where quick progression is a must. The game is still being worked on so it could get a range of social and possibly multiplayer features (co-op?). If you own the PS3 version then I doubt there’s going to be much for you here other than a potentially easier game and one you can play with your social network friends.Read more at Shacknewslast_img read more
